Courses or Challenge Exam
If you've worked at least three years in the logistics business, your path to CCLP will depend firstly on the competencies you've developed in your career. The most common pathway for people in your circumstances is to become certified via the CCLP program of courses. These people have some of the competencies certified by the designation, but are missing several or many others.
If you've had an unusually broad career with rapid advancement and/or significant higher education in supply chain logistics, such as a Master's Degree, you might be a good fit for the Challenge Exam to the CCLP designation. The Challenge Exam allows those with deep, diverse experience in Canadian logistics to demonstrate their competencies through a rigorous, yet quick exam process.
Review the competencies below, then select which option applies to you.
Logistics courses + full exemption for business courses
The academic requirements for the CCLP designation include 5 mandatory logistics courses, and 5 business knowledge courses. If you already have a business degree or diploma, you can easily apply for course credits for your previous education, meaning you'll just need the 5 logistics courses. If you believe you already have some - but not all - of the competencies listed above, you can see which competencies you need to learn via courses by using the Practice Test and other resources. Then, you can complete the full program or decide to challenge the exam after any number of courses.
